The National Union of Greek Australian Students (NUGAS) is a politically non-partisan organisation established to deal with events, policies, activities and issues that affect both its student members and members of the wider community. Over the last five decades, NUGAS has not only been an active participant within the Greek community, but also with issues affecting mainstream Australia. The aims and objectives of NUGAS Vic are geared towards representing Greek Australian students both on and off campus, on a state, national and international level. The structure of NUGAS ensures that it is an effective voice for its members and also encourages community awareness and involvement of its activities and pursuits. NUGAS Victoria is undoubtedly, NUGAS' strongest associate. With seven university clubs proudly re-pledging affiliation in 2011, and an eighth being proudly established for the first time in 2013, all clubs continually exceed membership expectations, ensuring the sustained growth and success of NUGAS and NUGAS Victoria.
