Harmony Veterinary Center
www.harmonyvetcenter.comOur mission is to enrich the lives of pets and people. With an integrated approach to medicine and individualized treatment paths, we live this mission every day, building partnerships with pet parents to promote a higher quality of life through balanced health and wellness care. Integrative medicine combines the best of both conventional and alternative therapies to improve patient health and treat disease. Conventional medicine includes diagnostic testing like bloodwork or x-rays, surgery and pharmaceuticals. Complementary therapies - also known as alternative or holistic therapies - include things like acupuncture, massage therapy, chiropractic, herbal medicine, supplements and dietary therapies. Utilizing both approaches allows for a more thorough treatment of an individual patient, and can minimize side-effects and while leading to quicker healing times with less recurrence of disease. Compassionate Fear Free care is provided to every patient and extends out to clients, staff and our community. We provide a harmonious, understanding, supportive, comfortable and respectful environment for patients, clients, staff members and community. Our team at Harmony Veterinary Center has developed a rich culture of service. It started when we opened our doors in 2010 and were called to assist Mr. Calvin, a beautiful 16-year-old cat who came to us near death. Calvin was treated with a combination of traditional and complementary medicine and went on to live another joy-filled 18 months. It was Calvin’s dad who helped us start The Lexie Fund (visit http://lexiefund.org/). Each month since, our team has volunteered their skills or time to help both pets and people in need. Our clients often join in as well, working alongside us in volunteer projects or in helping a pet find a home. Harmony is not just the name of our practice. It is a concept to strive for through the building blocks of honesty, integrity, teamwork, open communication, collaboration and camaraderie.
