Our mission is to restore civilian oversight of the Austin Police Department (APD) and remove the barriers to transparency, accountability, and reform. We believe building trust between our communities and the police department requires full transparency and civic accountability. The Austin Police Association (APA) uses intimidation and loopholes to avoid accountability, undermine trust, and deny justice to the people of Austin. This is why we're launching a ballot initiative to repeal Chapter 143 and put the power of police oversight into the hands of the City of Austin and its citizens.
