Media Power Youth (formerly MediaSmart of Child Health Services) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) working locally and throughout the Northeast in collaboration with health and prevention programs, school districts, communities, research institutions, businesses and government to provide a continuum of evidence based, health-focused media literacy education for youth, parents, and professionals. We help youth understand the power of media and we empower youth to use and produce media responsibly to avoid at-risk behaviors and promote healthy choices. Media Power Youth reaches youth through school, after school, and community programs; we reach parents and professionals through education, trainings, presentations, and workshops provided with research-based skills, interventions, and resources.
