The modern watch atelier AEGLER was founded in 2022 by Swiss veteran horological entrepreneurs. The purpose of the collective was to create advanced and unprecedented high luxury sports watches for discerning watch lovers, each representing the summit of contemporary watchmaking. The collective shares a fascination for the work of Jean Aegler (1850–1891), one of the greatest Swiss horological engineers of the 19th century. Their shared interest and appreciation drove them to do the only thing they could consider as a proper display of respect: The collective decided to name their new brand in his honor.
