Development of the Colomi North deposits on the northern side of Sobradinho Lake will comprise Stage Two of the project (>20 years @ 25Mtpa). This stage will utilise the Colomi South logistics and/or infrastructure options to the north. Railway: The concentrate will be transported from mine to port via a 172km spur line connecting to the existing Ferrovia Centro Atlántica (FCA) railroad at a point south of Juazeiro and then on to Aratu Port. The terrain over the course of the journey is mainly flat with sparse vegetation. Port: Colomi has developed plans for facilities at the port of Aratu including stockyard, deep-water berth and shiploader, capable of loading Capesize vessels.
