Founded in 2014, Gralen Consulting & Distribution is headed up by Grant Webster who has over 20+ years’ experience in multiple verticals across all levels in retail. Having applied his trade in big box retail with Massmart (Walmart SA), as a founding executive for South Africa’s #1 eCommerce retailer (Takealot.com) as well having held a number of leadership roles for national retailers as their Chief Operating Officer, he is well-skilled to lead and be able to impart his experience and knowledge to help teams deliver to their best. Over the years, Gralen has been instrumental in both driving positive organisational and brand changes and conceptualising and executing on various strategic projects that have moved its clients to scale. More recently, and utilising its wide network across all of the retail categories and supply chain, they have focused on driving new revenue streams for businesses through acquisitions, product development and catalogue & range expansions on the eCommerce front. As a specialist COO who understands how to counterbalance the CEO through being a versatile performance-driven problem solver, Grant has on occasion been asked to take up more longer term roles to take over the day-to-day running of most aspects of a business and in so doing freeing up the Founder / CEO to focus on other strategic business imperatives. Gralen engages with start-up entities, SME’s, and individuals to assist and guide Head Office teams to deliver on strategies and plans.
