• GIoD/ Governance Institute for Directors is a non-profit organization established in 2016 in Iraq. • GIoD is one of a series institutes of Directors IoD established globally and supported by the International Finance Corporation IFC/ World bank. • GIoD is the first organization in Iraq, specialized in providing solution towards institutions' sustainability via corporate governance services.  International Finance Corporation IFC/ member of the world bank group is GIoD strategic partner. Our mission: 1. GIoD aims at spreading awareness of corporate governance CG in Iraq Corporate Governance (CG) is a set of practices and procedures taken with the aim of directing and controlling the institution according to international standards in a manner that ensures achieving the best results in terms of (decision-making mechanism - policy-making and strategy of the institution - distribution of roles and tasks - increasing disclosure and transparency - reducing administrative and financial corruption - preparing to face risks - activating control - Its continuity for future generations). 2. GIoD provides solutions to the private sector (companies and banks) by applying the best international practices in refining the administrative skills of the business community in Iraq to raise it to the level of professionalism that guarantees continuity and increases the profitability of institutions.
