St. Constantines International School, Tanzania

www.scis.sc.tz

St. Constantine's International School is a co-educational, day and boarding, international school, serving 650 students (including 90 boarders) from over 30 different countries. Having celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2012, it is thus the second oldest international school in Tanzania and is now the largest international school in northern Tanzania - and is continuing its growth and expansion. Originally founded in 1952 by the Hellenic Foundation of Tanzania, we have an enviable location on the doorstep of Arusha National Park, at the foot of Mount Meru, and within striking distance of Kilimanjaro. Arusha itself is the centre of northern Tanzania's renowned safari industry. Our lush and mature 35-acre grounds include a 25m swimming pool, two football pitches, a rugby pitch, cricket nets, a gym, and tennis, volleyball and basketball courts. We are home to 700 students from Reception to A-level. With some of the best facilities in Tanzania, we are justifiably proud of our sporting reputation, and see this as a suitable counterbalance to our strong academic side. The secondary school follows the syllabuses of Cambridge International Examinations: IGCSE, AS and A2 courses. The Sixth Form also offers Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Diploma Qualifications.
