Matienzo Karst Entomology Project (MKEP) focuses on studying the invertebrate communities of the Mateinzo area within the Cantabrian Karst massif district northern Spain. Instigated in 2013/2014, MKEP is an independent research initiative supported by the Natural History Museum (BMNH), The British Cave Research Association and Oxford University under permit from the Cantabrian government.
