Kalamazoo Chinese Academy (KCA) is a 501c(3) non-profit educational organization dedicated to providing Chinese language and cultural experiences to youth from all cultural, racial, and ethnic backgrounds in the greater Kalamazoo area. KCA is proud to host the 2022-23 KCA STARTALK Institute Chinese program, a year-round student engagement program, from spring 2022 to spring 2023. STARTALK is a federal grant program funded by the National Security Agency (NSA). KCA offers: Language - Heritage Chinese classes and non-heritage Chinese classes Performing arts - Dance classes, lion dance practice sessions, and Chinese YoYo practice sessions Martial arts - Youth martial arts class and adult Tai Chi class School Mission To provide Chinese language and cultural experiences to K-12 students from all cultural, racial, and ethnic backgrounds in the greater Kalamazoo community. School Vision To bridge the culture gap and enhance the community's understanding of Chinese culture. To prepare students for meaningful and successful participation in the global environment.
