The Spark Podcast 火花电台
www.thesparkpodcast.orgThe night when Amy met Meg, she was the designated interpreter for Meg -not only for the language, but also for what was being communicated without words. Sparked with curiosity about the other, the two began asking questions and sharing their own experiences from each of their unique and different perspectives. Before they knew it, they were deep in conversation, sharing perspectives on dating across cultures, their roles in their relationships, families and societies, feminism, international relations and what each of their countries thinks of the other. In fact, when the night was coming to a close, they felt that their conversation was just getting started. For each of them, their conversation had left a spark of understanding and broadened perspectives too valuable to keep to themselves at a time when both of their cultures and countries are so misunderstood by the other. While they may write a book together someday, they decided to create this podcast, a medium that reflects how they first connected - by talking. It’s their mission to open up a larger conversation that sparks curiosity, connection and, ultimately, an understanding of the unknown, bridging the gaps between cultures, countries, and continents in the hopes that just one person will come to realization that we are more alike than we are different.
