Volte Art Projects (formerly known as Volte Gallery) is one of the leading contemporary art galleries from the Indian subcontinent. Volte Art Projects has relocated its headquarters to Dubai and have opened an 8000 sqft new gallery space at Alserkal Avenue. Founded in 2009 by Tushar Jiwarajka, Volte Art Projects has achieved significant importance, mounting some of the most bold and important shows to come out from the Indian art scene. Volte has been a pioneering gallery in India, embracing all media beyond paintings, including video, performance and installation. Volte represents important, established international contemporary artists and South Asian artists which includes James Turrell, Antony Gormley, William Kentridge, Francesco Clemente, Wim Delvoye, Based Upon, Humans since 1982, Nalini Malani, Sheba Chhachhi, Ranbir Kaleka and Pandit Khairnar. Volte Art Projects has been featured in New York Times, Art Forum, Frieze Magazine, and Time Magazine. Additionally, Volte was featured by CNN as among the best galleries in Mumbai. The gallery has sponsored projects, and collaborated with various museums and foundations around the world including the Tate Modern in London, Whitechapel Gallery in London, Miro Foundation in Barcelona, Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in Moscow, Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum in Mumbai, Guangdong Museum of Art in Guangzhou, Kiran Nadar Museum of Art in Delhi, and the Singapore Art Museum in Singapore. Volte has mounted some significant and critically acclaimed shows which includes a new immersive chamber, 'Nalini Malani: Can you Hear me?' that is currently showing at the Whitechapel Gallery in London (September 2020- September 2021). As well as working with leading contemporary artists, Volte Art Projects also offers the highest quality international modern masters through the secondary market, with a specialisation on Manjit Bawa, Tyeb Mehta, VS Gaitonde, FN Souza, MF Husain, SH Raza and others.
