Teen Family Centre, was established in 2002 and continues to lead the way with regards to the unique services that we are able to deliver to a particular core client base, namely young parents and expectant young parents who are 24 years of age and under. In fact, we are the only organisation of our kind in Western Australia and we pride ourselves on being a specialised parenting service. Teen Family Centre is funded to deliver services to young parents and expectant young parents across the Perth Metropolitan area. Young parents who are referred to our organisation are given the opportunity to receive case management from the centre's Parent Support Worker, inclusive of telephone support, transport, home visiting, educational workshops which focus on parenting and life skills, excursions and parenting retreats. The heart of Teen Family Centre is to ensure that young parents and expectant young parents do not ‘fall between the cracks’ and are given the opportunity to become valued and contributing members of society. Importantly, we hope to facilitate the growth of a community of young families who are educated, independent, interdependent, resilient, confident, healthy and most of all, happy.
