We are a UK literary festival that aims to level up the publishing industry, discover new writing talent, and create aspirational and life-changing events for those who are least served by our literary and cultural establishments. We specifically give prominence to women – and those who identify as women – writers as well as those of all genders, economic backgrounds and ethnicities whose voices are not often enough heard. Primadonna also brings together editors, readers, publishers, artists, thinkers, comedians, performers, environmentalists, musicians and foodies – as well as happy people of all ages and many backgrounds – to share experiences, explore ideas and imagine new possibilities. We call it ‘the world as it should be, for one weekend’.
