CMCA is a 22-year-old non-profit headquartered in Bengaluru that is a pioneer in Citizenship Education in India. Our mission is to transform the young into concerned, thinking and active citizens for an inclusive and sustainable India. We do this by engaging with young people at the grassroots in educational institutions (schools and colleges) and community spaces (libraries, skilling and learning centers), through experiential programmes that impart Citizenship Values and Life Skills. Additionally, we advocate and support government to improve existing policies and mechanisms in civic participation and education for the young. In partnership with government and like-minded organisations, CMCA reaches 1 lakh+ young people in 46+ cities and 250+ villages, in over 700 institutions annually. CMCA is poised to reach 10 lakh children and youth by 2025.
