Pro Musica is the premiere presenter of classical music for the Joplin region. Our Chamber Series, which has been free to audiences for over four decades, brings chamber music ensembles of the highest professional quality to Joplin from across the US and Europe. Additional concert presentations include our annual Jazz Concert and Bach-A-Bye Baby kids-and-caregiver concerts in partnership with the Joplin Library. Pro Musica's Arts Education residencies engages local public and private communities, as well as home school networks, and Missouri Southern State University's music department students and faculty with advanced, small-group masterclasses. Pro Musica also presents outreach performances to retirement communities, marginalized and residential communities, and adventurous settings such as area coffee shops and outdoor venues to engage a wide range of patrons. Our goal? To make world-class classical music available to all people. Our belief? The vital need to ensure live classical music is not just enjoyable, but inclusive, for all Joplinites.
