The Centre of Excellence in Teacher Education Initiative (CETE) is a joint endeavour of the Tata Trusts and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. CETE is a National Nodal Centre which will focus on revitalising teacher education through research, teaching, policy advocacy, partnerships and collaborations. The CETE will : - offer high quality model programmes of teacher development - carry out research to develop original contextualised knowledge of teacher formation and development, and evidence for policy, - develop resources for capacity building and professional development, and - impact the sector with effects such as attracting talent into the profession, preparing teachers who are confident adaptive experts who can further social justice and inclusion in quality education for all, and partnerships with teacher education institutions and state governments to scale excellence The Centre for Education, Innovation and Action Research (CEIAR) is the recIpient of the UNESCO’s prestigious 2017 King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the field of Education, for the Connected Learning Initiative .
