In 2011, Redeemer Center for Life created Venture North as a full-service bike shop and café that helps the surrounding community see cycling as a viable option for healthy, affordable and sustainable transportation. At Venture North, professional mechanics offer a variety of programs for all ages, skills and economic backgrounds that help people get excited about cycling, confident in their skills, and knowledgeable about bike safety. We also employ local youth, teaching them mechanical, business and leadership skills. We are making the Harrison neighborhood of North Minneapolis an empowering, healthy place to live by increasing racial, economic, and gender equity within the biking community.
