This page is for the non-profit society that operates George Derby Centre. George Derby Centre is a community-based care facility situated in a park-like setting in Burnaby, BC. Through a unique partnership with Veterans Affairs Canada and Fraser Health, we are proud to offer complex care and services to Canadian Veterans of the Armed Forces and seniors whose needs can no longer be met in the community. All residents must also meet complex care requirements for admission to care. Through our commitment to excellence, we provide innovative dementia care for seniors with challenging behaviours due to Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias. It is an honour and a privilege to care for Canada’s veterans, the courageous men and women who served our country in the name of peace and freedom, and the elder community population. George Derby Centre has been accredited by Accreditation Canada for 2011-2019, establishing George Derby Centre as a facility exceeding national standards of quality in the provision of health services.
