Originally BoomTime Racing, renowned for Group 1 winners Temple of Boom and Spirit of Boom, the latter now a successful sire at stud. Black Soil Bloodstock has evolved to breed, buy and race the finest thoroughbreds in Australia. We source precocious yearlings with strong pedigrees with the aim to race them in partnership and then breed from or sell them after their racetrack career. Black Soil Bloodstock is based on the Darling Downs of Queensland, a region of fertile black soil made famous by its rich agriculture and rearing of tough racehorses. The team is led by principal Brian Siemsen & principal agent Harry McAlpine, both Darling Downs products, collectively bringing experience in bloodstock, racehorse ownership, business acumen & importantly a passion to grow the industry in Australia.
