ELT NEWS was established in 1989. It is a monthly journal which goes to teachers of English in Greece.The overall aim of the journal is to enable the teacher in the classroom to know what has been done and is being done to help her/him in his/her task and to exchange with fellow teachers her/his own experiences and findings; in other words to provide a medium for informed discussion of the principles and practice which determine the ways in which English is taught and learnt. The role of teaching materials, student autonomy, authenticity, language skills, language structures or systems, different age groups, creativity and innovation, language exams and certification –all these hot issues are the focal points of ELT NEWS.
