Lower Sharpham Farm is our 80acres in south Devon next to the river Dart where we are encouraging nature, wildlife and learning. #rewilding #ecologicalrestoration. Residential and distance learning training & volunteering opportunities. We run GIS-GPS training days for budding or existing Countryside Rangers and Employability courses for University Students. We are linked to the University of Exeter Green Unit and the Going Wildwards project. We are constantly pushing the boundaries of thinking and practice around adult education, training, employability, nature conservation and technology. Using innovative project delivery and partnerships with nature conservation organization in the UK and abroad we explore new, exciting and successful ways of formally (qualifications) and informally (for fun!) engaging people with nature. We are very proud of all our previous projects which ranged from enabling trainees to experience working with nature conservation NGOs in the UK and European to organising a series of ‘citizen science’ BioBlitz 24-hour wildlife surveys across Devon to using emerging ‘eco-therapy’ to help young people experiencing mental distress.
