SGA is a community of students that exists to represent the IWU Student Body and empower students to positively transform their community. We assist by facilitating communication between IWU students and other members of the IWU Community along appropriate channels and inroads. Student representation was first established at Indiana Wesleyan Unversity in 1938 as the Marion College "Student Council." This student group has continued to change and grow, eventually transforming into the "Marion College Student Government Organization" in 1969, the "Student Government Organization" (SGO) in 1988, and became the Student Government Association (SGA) in the Fall of 2010.
