Department of Technical Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh established Rajkiya Engineering College, Bijnor under the Special Component Plan (SCP) of the Union Government of India to promote technical education in the socially and economically weaker section of the society. All the courses have the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). REC, Bijnor is an affiliated college of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow.
