Sassé is not just a clothing brand but a statement! Changing what women wear to work. Conservative yet Provocative! Sassé, Inc. is dedicated to designing women’s business wear for businesswomen who want to embrace their femininity. Our goal is to provide appropriate work attire for women, while allowing them to feel sexy, confident, sophisticated and proud to be a woman! Women make up nearly half of today’s labor force (46.9%) and are increasingly taking on the responsibility of holding Executive positions. Women who display the characteristics exemplified in successful executives such as “independence,” “ambition,” “drive,” “assertiveness,” “directness”, and “outspokenness” are associated with having “masculine” traits. However, women have been displaying these types of behaviors since the beginning; including women such as Rosa Parks, Eleanor Roosevelt, Julia Child, Amelia Earhart and many more. Confident, dominant, alpha women already feel “masculine” and don’t want to wear clothes that make them feel like a man. We want to wear clothing that accentuates the women’s body while still maintaining a conservative, businesslike and powerful look. Aiming to inspire, encourage and empower women in the workforce we have initially focused on designing five dresses. These dresses are designed to enable women to wear them both at the office and business dinners. The designs are conservative in the sense of high collar (to avoid cleavage exposure) and the length to be past the knees (to avoid exposing the inner/outer thigh) while adding a provocative style in being tailored to compliment a woman’s body. We love being women and think women should be able to express and be proud of our gender and the features that were given to us, but in a sophisticated manner.
