McDoux Preservation works with individuals and organizations who own, manage, and advocate for historic buildings and landscapes, helping them build knowledge, organizational capacity, and financial strength. We believe that: • Historic sites are more likely to be preserved when the people responsible for them are knowledgeable and organizationally effective. • Increasing the public’s awareness of and appreciation for historic resources is best accomplished through research, engaging interpretation, and opportunities to interact with the resource and its history. • Every organization and individual needs a defining goal that reflects their core values and provides direction; and any plan for achieving that goal must include steps toward financial security. Our portfolio of services includes architectural history research and documentation; capacity-building consulting in the areas of strategic planning, business planning, instructional design, fundraising and grant writing; Section 106 facilitation; and project management.
