It provides students with an excellent opportunity to experience 'the world of work' in a work placement before they complete their studies and enter the graduate recruitment market. The placement can assist with career planning and employability and, in this economic climate it is important for students and graduates to gain relevant experience in the workplace. In addition to this the WBL module is academically assessed and contributes to the student's overall degree classification.
