WASSER FÜR WASSER (WfW) – WATER FOR WATER (WfW)
www.wfw.chThe commitment of WATER FOR WATER (WfW) is based on two facts: 771 million people worldwide have no basic access to drinking water. More than 1.5 billion people are lacking basic access to sanitation. In Switzerland, it is a matter of course that high-quality water is available to everyone at all times. Be it in a restaurant, in the office or in everyday life: WASSER FÜR WASSER (WfW) promotes the drinking of tap water, links it to a donation and thereby implements water and vocational training projects in Zambia and Mozambique. By incorporating the WfW carafes into their business, restaurateurs and entrepreneurs make donating a part of their daily business. In this way, the donation loses its exceptional character and gradually becomes a normal part of everyday life. Guests, customers and employees of partner businesses are made aware of our privileged water situation and that water scarcity, water pollution and inefficient use of water make it difficult for hundreds of millions of people to live in dignity. In 2010, the UN General Assembly declared access to water and sanitation a human right. With the support of WfW, catering businesses and other entrepreneurs are doing their part to implement this human right.
