Arcus Behavioral Health & Wellness is a 501(c)3 nonprofit community mental health agency. Arcus is Latin for "arc or rainbow." We strongly agree with Dr. Maya Angelou's sentiment about being a 'rainbow in the clouds' through practicing kindness and compassion. And yet, we are often too focused on our deficits and flaws. We have learned that although we should treat others with positive regard and kindness, we frequently do not practice that same compassion towards ourselves.
