Specialists in stakeholder engagement, in particular in the Vocational Education & Training sector, SkillsIQ has extensive experience in workforce development, research, policy development, and development of national skills standards in Australia and overseas. We have completed many projects in Australia, Latin America and across the Asia-Pacific region, working with governments, industry and also with international bodies such as the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). These projects include development of national and international skills standards, development and implementation of systems and processes for industry engagement in skills and training, and completion of research and benchmarking reports. Industries that we have worked with include health, aged services, community services, disability support, retail, sport & recreation, tourism & travel, cookery & hospitality, events, holiday parks & resorts, local government, public sector, hairdressing & beauty services, floristry and others. SkillsIQ objectives include positioning Australia to respond to additional demands for skilled workers, through working to ensure that Vocational Education & Training opportunities provide skills that are relevant for jobs in industry and meet critical skills gaps and shortages. In doing so, we engage collaboratively with our extensive tripartite networks and also encourage and facilitate them to work together across industries, to capitalise on synergies between sectors, thereby aiming to increase career pathways, mobility and recruitment of young people.
