The Piedmont NC Chapter of ASCM, Inc. was chartered in October,1970, and serves the areas in North-central North Carolina and South-central Virginia, as well as various international corporate locations. The chapter works to achieve its vision of "Creating sustainable excellence in Supply Chain and Operations Management in a dynamic environment”. We bring value to individuals, organizations and our communities by providing leading-edge educational and networking opportunities that support continued personal and organizational growth. Our Professional Development Meetings, Now mostly virtual events, feature excellent speakers and topics relevant to our member professions - Supply Chain related! As social distancing allows, the Chapter looks forward to reestablishing event with networking and face to face meeting opportunities Our educational offerings are extensive. PTC offers experienced instructor-led certification and endorsement review workshops (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, SCOR-P) as chapter public courses, through local community colleges, and as in-company courses. In addition, we offer suitcased specialty training covering a variety of supply chain related topics, in order to benefit organizational and personal development. Our chapter has achieved the APICS Chapter Benchmarking and Reporting (C-BAR) Platinum Award, the highest level, every year since the award inception in 1988. Chapters are judged yearly on the quality of the chapter’s efforts to achieve excellence in chapter management with recognition at Gold, Silver, or Bronze award levels. Those chapters that achieve and maintain Gold status for five or more consecutive years are recognized as a Platinum chapter for as long as each year is at the Gold level.
