Scotta is one of Italy's leading companies in the design, development and installation of hydropower plants, electric power plants and industrial automation. In twenty two years of operations at its production facilities in Villafalletto (Cuneo - Italy) the company has built up the skills required to develop plants "water to wire". The company employ 100people and has a turnover of 35 million euros. Scotta was established in 1987 with the aim of becoming a centre of excellence for the development of automated plants and systems. From the early nineties onward, Scotta diversified its production, operating in the hydropower sector, which quickly became a technological area of great interest. The wide-ranging experience gained in the hydropower sector led Scotta to extend its operations to projects for energy generated from renewable sources (biomass and solar energy), and from gas turbine and cogeneration plants.
