There are an estimated 30,000 cooperatives in the United States providing many kinds of goods and services. However there are many industries where independent businesses have yet to work together through a cooperative structure to better their social and economic well-being. The Cooperative Management Group’s mission is to identify these industries, and partner with independent businesses within them to build co-ops that the members own and control. CMG provides its expertise, funding, and leadership to launch the cooperatives, and helps to ensure that the co-ops have a strong foundation and are positioned to help their owners thrive in the future.
