ReImagine17 (RE17) is a national community of youth working to reimagine sustainable development through anti-oppressive, intersectional and interdisciplinary collaboration. Our goal is to encourage youth to critically reflect on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by facilitating a community of practice that holds space for knowledge-sharing, program development, and advocacy. RE17 wants to see youth in what is colonially called Canada critically reflect on and reimagine the SDGs, as a means to establish/generate/create equitable solutions to the challenges presented by the Goals. We want to see a community of youth meaningfully engage in grassroots initiatives centered on critical and creative reimagination of the SDGs. The involvement of youth in decision-making spaces encourages youth to further support their communities and bolster a network of anti-oppressive, interdisciplinary and intersectional social change, in order to build an equitable and sustainable future Our work is centered around 4 Pillars of Action: 1. Research, reframe, and reimagine the United Nations SDG Framework within the 2030 Agenda. 2. Nurture collaboration and partnerships between youth and youth-led organizations involved in sustainable development and advocacy work. 3. Advocate for solutions to empower and increase youth representation. 4. Amplify youth perspectives with an acknowledgment of intersectional identities. Learn more at www.reimagine17.com
