A FAMILY LEGACY Hi-Tech Plating™ was established in 1985 by Charles Weindorf, an electrical engineer, and his son, John, a skilled plating technologist. Their vision was to create a successful company to serve regional industry. In 1988, the company expanded its Hard Chrome operations by opening a new Nickel facility. Charles retired in 1990, and in 2000, John's daughter, Angela, and son, Marc, joined the team. Angela and Marc became managers of the business in 2008. Their focus was to provide superior quality in the most cost-effective and efficient manner. In 2014, Angela and Marc purchased the company and envisioned further innovations in efficiency without sacrificing the company’s exceptional quality standards. Angela and Marc sold the business to another Pennsylvania family in 2019 that was best suited to nurture and grow the company. Angela and Marc were looking for a values match in a buyer, and Harry Zechman was looking for a values match in a seller. Angela, Marc, and Harry were pleased with the outcome and smooth transition. The Team remains the same. The Service, Delivery, and Quality processes remain in a stable state of continuous improvement to always exceed our Customers’ expectations. Kip Zechman then joined Hi-Tech Plating as General Manager. Kip and Harry hold master’s degrees in chemical engineering and have over forty years of global industrial manufacturing experience. We look forward to continuing Hi-Tech Plating’s legacy of great service, delivery, and quality.
