Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency (AEA) is one of nine AEAs across the state of Iowa. These organizations were created by the state legislature in 1974 to provide equity, efficiency, and excellence in education across the state. AEAs provide special education services, school improvement assistance, media resources, and early childhood education support. The Mission of the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency is to improve teaching and learning for all students through active partnerships and assertive leadership in a climate of mutual respect.
