The Center for Arabic Language and Culture (CALC) is an independent 501(c)(3), non-profit organization partnered with the Chicago Public Schools and the Qatar Foundation International (QFI). The Center serves Chicago's K-12 Arabic teachers and students, as well as the greater Chicagoland community. The Center is a unique and revolutionary language and cultural center that supports existing (and future) Arabic programs throughout the Chicagoland area. Through collaboration with community organizations, corporate partners, the philanthropic community, leading universities, and committed individuals, CALC is committed to enhancing the teaching of Arabic language and culture in K through 12 schools by providing curriculum resources, offering teacher professional development, and serving as a clearinghouse for cultural activities.
