United Way is about advancing the common good, creating opportunities for a better life for all. When we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all. We all win when a child succeeds in school, when families are financial stable and when people have good health. These results/changes have benefits that ripple out to the community as a whole. United Way also collaborates with other community organizations to take aim at the root causes of big community issues. We determine what the community’s unmet needs are and then we invest resources in programs that target those needs. United Way funds programs that will help provide basic needs; secure families; and student achievement.
