Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Headquartered in Englewood, Colo., the organization's membership exceeds 357,000 in more than 16,600 clubs in 143 countries. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders. District 25 Toastmasters covers clubs from Central/North Central Texas. The have a variety of clubs, including public and corporate ones. Toastmasters is an organization that help people to improve their public speaking and leadership skills through weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly meetings. Toastmaster meetings are completed through the team filling assigned roles, i.e. Toastmaster (who runs the meeting), evaluator, timekeeper, and grammarian, to name a few. The speaker will receive constructive feedback in order to develop better skills as a speaker. The meetings not only provide a place to learn, but an awesome place to network with others who have similar/or dissimilar interests.
