ProjectQRRestore is an international consortium of marine biologists, environmental professionals, and conservationists looking to initiate blue-carbon restoration projects in Quintana Roo (QR). With donor money from affiliate organizations, we will plant seagrass meadows, and reproduce coral polyps in-situ and ex-situ. By extending reforestation to our seas, we can greatly offset damage done to the planet through industrial development, untreated wastewater runoff, and ocean acidification and warming. Our novel development in the works is the development of an underwater fertilizer using sargasso.
