Goodly Creatures LLC is a traveling theatre company, currently performing in Elgin and Chicago, IL that specializes in breathing new life into classic works of literature. We believe that classics are timeless for a reason and shouldn't ever be forgotten in the haze of modernity. No matter how our way of life changes due to technology, and social circumstances, the perseverance of the human spirit remains the same, steadfast, loving, and ready to face any obstacle. Our latest production is named after our ensemble, our show "Goodly Creatures" promises an evening the bard has long been waiting for! Our ensemble will perform a selection of sonnets spanning Shakespeare's lifelong career in modern terms for a modern audience. With the integrity of the original language upheld, the universal language of love perseveres. "Goodly Creatures" tells the story of three couples in twelve sonnets for an evening of reflection and literary amazement.
