Since 2009, Purple Patch Arts has existed to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities & autistic people by providing innovative, inclusive, creative learning experiences. Our multi-sensory learning increases knowledge, mental wellbeing, social connections, confidence, independence, and life skills. Our mission is to provide opportunities for people with learning disabilities and autistic people across Yorkshire to thrive through engagement with innovative, creative lifelong learning. We believe that everyone should have access to meaningful learning opportunities that are fun, exciting and engaging. Our innovative Purple Patch Approach means that we can work with a sense of adventure, adapting to the needs of our participants and creating environments where people can thrive. People are supported to enjoy learning, to express themselves creatively, to build social connections and to challenge themselves and the preconceptions of others.
