The Agency is seeking to give fresh energy to the international debate on development issues, to operate as the platform of the Italian cooperation system, and to make it stronger, so as to act as a major player in the global endeavor against poverty, the promotion of peace, human rights and sustainable development. Italy and Egypt have a special approach to Development Cooperation which sees them united in a joint mission, in which they cooperate equally and with reciprocity of benefits. Eco-sustainable tourism, socio-economic development, rural development and agriculture are the areas of primary interest of our country in Egypt, whereby it plays an important role in the European Union.
