UKTRF is the leading membership organisation for promoting the interests of the duty free and travel retail business in the UK and has been an influential voice for the industry since its foundation in 2000. Current members include major airports, shop operators, airlines, agents and distributors, and the manufacturers and suppliers of wines and spirits, tobacco, beauty, fashion and confectionery products. Funded entirely by contributions from members, UKTRF’s principal remit is to monitor and respond to UK and EU legislative and regulatory provisions likely to affect travel retail by making representations to politicians and other key stakeholders on behalf of members. UKTRF also works closely with other membership bodies to lead on industry-wide initiatives, including the Code of Practice for Airport Retailers on VAT Relief Concession, launched in September 2016. UKTRF is an active member and major contributor to the European Travel Retail Confederation - ETRC.
