The Madison Police Department is dedicated to protecting and serving our community to the highest standard attainable. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life of every citizen through professional police services. In May, 2019 the Madison Police Department was granted tier one accreditation with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). As the 7th municipal police agency to achieve this milestone in the state, the police department joins the 5% of the over 18,000 law enforcement agencies in the US to achieve accreditation. CALEA is the gold standard for public safety agencies.
