CEI, the Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation, is a community-based facility based at GateWay Community College. With funding from the US Economic Development Agency, City of Phoenix and Maricopa Community College District, CEI provides targeted business services and proactive business support to create a systematic link between: • Technology development • Compelling markets and opportunities • Entrepreneurial and managerial talent development • Early stage capital sourcing • Education and training, interns, coaching and business counseling The 18,000 square foot facility, located in the Discovery Triangle and part of the GateWay Community College campus, is a mixed-use/non-retail business incubator. Market segments focused on include: • Bio, life-science • Clean Technology • Software • Technology Services The facilities include: • ~35 office suites ranging in size from 224sq ft – 650 sq ft • 40% wet lab/bio suites • Open collaborative spaces • Hoteling Offices • Administrative/Leadership • Technology, video conferencing • Meeting and event space CEI provides business incubation programs and services to both resident clients and non-resident “affiliate” clients and makes available many of its business development and entrepreneurship programs to the community.
