plasticfreeuae is a platform that aims to spread and facilitate education about sustainable solutions and eco-friendly options in the UAE. Through sparking conversations, active listening, and organising environmentally focussed events, we hope to remind people of the choices they have today and how their actions can help us move towards a healthier tomorrow. Started in 2018, this initiative was initially conceptualised to raise awareness about the growing issues of single-use plastic waste in the UAE and across the globe. Over the years, plasticfreeuae has grown into something much bigger and has now become a country-wide facilitator that spreads environmental awareness. We highlight and promote groups, businesses, individuals, and government agencies that constantly put in their efforts to help the community walk towards sustainability and spread awareness to everyone around them.
