BRIEF accomplishes this by the following: Engaging - with the Blue Ridge communities which stretch between Asheville NC to Atlanta GA. Initial focus on the socioeconomic needs for Greenville, Pickens, Oconee and Anderson counties. Educating - Imparting knowledge to socioeconomic disadvantaged families. Instructional focus to include business, financial, and STEM. Encouraging - Inspiring and fostering hope in at risk youth through athletic and academic mentorships. Family and team building programs focused on improving mind and body. Equipping - Providing hands-on experience via technology innovation and business entrepreneurship programs, workshops and projects. STEM skills building (e.g. robotics) and venture business simulation activities included. Empowering - Enabling the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of the socioeconomic disadvantaged to take flight. Assistance in building resumes, obtaining internships, micro-financing, venture capital funding and employment. BRIEF’s headquarters is ideally located to target technology and business partnerships along the Charlotte to Atlanta corridor. Also it’s proximity to Clemson, Anderson and Southern Wesleyan Universities also provide great opportunities for academic partnerships for education, athletic training and collaborative research.
