Xiamen University of Technology (XMUT) is a full-time higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and it's the key construction university in Fujian Province. XMUT is a first-class discipline construction university in Fujian Province; a pilot program for master's degree students; a pilot university for joint training of talents in Fujian and Taiwan universities; an education training program for outstanding engineers; a new engineering research and practice project; and the 13th Five-Year oriented undergraduate program Teaching and integration development projects; Chinese government scholarships entrusted to train institutions; national deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform demonstration colleges; national deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform characteristics typical experience colleges and universities. XMUT was selected to "serve national special needs talent training project". At the end of 2018, Xiamen University of Technology has three campuses, 'Xiaruan', 'Siming' and 'Jimei', covering an area of 1,927 mu and a building area of over 500,000 square meters.
